JOB DETAILS:
- We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Nairobi. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure, protecting sensitive data, and mitigating cyber threats. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security systems to detect vulnerabilities and threats.
- Implement robust security measures to protect networks, systems, and data.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration testing.
- Respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures aligned with industry standards.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, threats, and best practices in cybersecurity.
- Train staff on cybersecurity awareness and protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 2019 and other regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity roles (e.g., network security, incident response).
- Expertise in threat analysis, incident response, and network security management.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies like blockchain and IoT security is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-tech stakeholders.
