Customer Service Executive-Freight Specialist
Our client, in the logistics sector, is looking for a Customer Service Executive-Freight Specialist. Ideal candidate MUST have experience in the same Industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure a high-level hand on approach in relation to all aspects of the service including operations, sales, customer services, credit/collections and cost.
• Timely response to and resolving customer queries on a daily basis.
• Generate sales leads and offer support to sales to meet customer requirements.
• Ensuring Rates sent out are followed up and converted into business.
• Coordinate with the origins and destinations on customer inquiries ensuring proper documentation are received from client prior to arrival of the shipment.
• Handle freight enquiries, quotations and coordination with local and international clients
• Provide support for the sales, to quote client and follow-on business awarded and lost business.
• Manage shipment from origin to destination to ensure customers’ satisfaction.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders internally.
• Timely invoicing for all shipments handled.
• Manage and improve customer retention. Analyze customers’ problems and find solutions to regain them.
• Analyze customers performance to increase growth and production.
• Coordinate with Clearance team to ensure all customer operational needs are met when needed.
Required skills and experience
• Industry Experience required in a similar position.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and be accountable for tasks and actions.
• Excellent working knowledge in Freight, Perishables and General Cargo.
• Knowledge of Cargowise an added advantage.
• Proficient in all Microsoft packages.
• Proactive communicator in the use of email and phone.
• Deadline focused.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
