JOB DETAILS:
COUNTY POLICING AUTHORITIES COMMITTEE
NUMBER OF VACANCIES: SIX (6)
TERMS OF SERVICE: THREE YEAR CONTRACT WHICH MAY BE
RENEWED FOR ONE TERM ONLY.
REMUNERATION: THIS IS NOT A SALARIED POSITION;
ALLOWANCES APPLICABLE SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE SALARIES AND REMUNERATION COMMISSION.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities will entail: Develop proposal on priorities objectives and targets for police performance in the county, Monitoring trends and patterns of crime in the -county including those with a specific impact on women and children, Promote community policing initiative in the county, Monitor progress and achievement of set targets, Provide financial oversight of the budget of the county police, Provide feedback on performance of the police service at the county level, Provide a platform through which the public participates on the all aspects to do with the county
policy and the national police service at the county level, Facilitate public participation on county policing policy, Ensure policing accountability to the public, Receive reports from community policing forums and committee and Ensure compliance within the national policing standards.
A person shall not be qualified for appointment as a member under subsection (2), if that person-
1. Has violated the constitution.
2. Is adjudged bankrupt
3. Is not of good character or moral standing
4. Has been convicted of a felony
5. Has not been resident or employed in the county for a continuous period of not less than three years.

7. Have attained form four certificate (O levels)
