JOB DETAILS:
Pursuant to the Provisions of section 35 and 36 of the County Government Act, 2012 the County Government of Samburu wishes to consider applications from highly qualified, result-oriented and self-motivated Kenyan Citizens for appointment to the following position: -

County Executive Committee Member- Agriculture, Livestock, Veterinary Services & Fisheries

Duties and Responsibilities
i. Implement county legislation
ii. Implement within the county, national legislation to the extent that the legislation so requires
iii. Manage and coordinate the functions of the county administration and its department
iv. Prepare legislative proposals for consideration by the county assembly
v. Provide county assembly with full and regular reports on matters relating to the county
vi. Supervise the administration and delivery of services in the county and all decentralized units and agencies in the county
vii. Perform any other functions conferred on it by the constitution or national legislation
viii. Carry out any function incidental tom any of the assigned functions by the governor.

Requirements

i. Be a Kenyan Citizen.
ii. Be in possession of a relevant degree from a University recognized in Kenya.
iii. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010
iv. Have knowledge, experience and distinguished career of NOT less than five (5) years in the field relevant to the portfolio applied for.
v. Understand the diversity, challenges and opportunities within the County.
vi. Be conversant with the Constitution of Kenya and all other relevant laws.
vii. Be a visionary and strategic thinker

Remuneration: As per Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) guidelines
