JOB DETAILS:
Role Summary
To provide clinical services mainly in the outpatient and inpatient as required.

Duties and Responsibilities
• History taking and physical examination of patients/clients
• Attend ward rounds and participate in multidisciplinary patient care
• Undertaking clinical checks on all treatment sheets and prescriptions for suitability of treatment
• Diagnosis and management of patients in outpatient/inpatient
• In collaboration with the team receive and attend to patients who require emergency services
• Appropriately refer or admit patients who require hospitalization or specialized services
• Periodic self-assessment to ensure up to date with the trends in the career.
• Participate in patient consultations and discussion of cases with the doctors over best management suited to the patient’s condition.
• Perform clinical procedures within the rules and regulations consistent with organization procedures.
• Provide spot checks on the procedure performed by the nurses/lab personnel.
• Handle patient data/information confidentially always.
• Keeping and maintaining complete and up-to-date client records in collaboration with the MoH guidelines
• Provide regular feedback to the Medical Officer on the clinic activities.
• Participate in the development of Health Facility work plans and review them on a monthly basis with the Medical Officer.
• Implementing Community Health Care activities in liaison with other health workers

Qualification and Key Competencies
• Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized Institution
• Certificate of Registration and a valid practice license from the Clinical Officers’ Council
• At least 2years of experience in a healthcare setup.
• Proficiency in computer skills
