Duties And Responsibilities;
• To provide technical guidance and support that informs proposals, project implementation and overall organizational strategy in environment and climate change matters.
• To ensure that the organization’s projects are implementing activities in line with best
environmental practices following local and donors’ environmental regulations.
• Coordinates / Works with the communities in climate change, environment, Natural Resource, forestry and climate change matters;
• Mobilizes resources/ proposal writing;
• Acts as Climate Change focal person for all development partners,
• Membership in projects County Technical/steering committees.
• Appoints staff to an Ad-hoc Climate Change committee
• Assist in the preparation of Departmental Budgets;
• Assist in the preparation of procurement and work Plans;
• Assesses the viability of the climate Change resilience Projects;
• Assesses the conditions of projects operation and Equipment allocation and maintenance;
• Coordinating Networking and creating partnerships with other stakeholders
• Preparing reports and brief for projects status
• Ensuring projects implementation according to approved budgets and plans.
• Preparing and reviewing all Bills of works for contracts to be awarded to vendors of goods and services related to Climate Change resilience projects.
• Preparing terms of reference s for project’s surveys, evaluation and review evaluation reports.
• Provide technical leadership in environmental compliance and regulations to all projects, including building the capacity of local staff in environment compliance.
• Coordinate African NSs participation in regional/global platforms for DRR/Climate Change

e.g. the UNFCC’s CoPs, and the Regional and Global Platforms for DRR, etc.

Requirements For The Appointment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Climate Change, Environmental conservation and management or any
other related course.
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in similar work
• Computer literate with knowledge on related Computer packages
• Good Communication skills,
• Must be a Kenya Citizen
