JOB DETAILS:
The County Assembly Service Board of Meru invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill in the position of:
The Clerk of County Assembly (JG ‘S’ CASB 2)-0NE [1] POST

Requirements For Appointment
Pursuant to provisions of section 13 of the County Government Act. 2012. a person shall not be qualified for appointment as a Clerk of the County Assembly unless such person:
a) Is a citizen of Kenya:
b) Holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya or its equivalent:
c) Has had at least five years relevant professional experience:
d) Meets the requirements of leadership and integrity set out in Chapter Six of the Constitution.

The following qualifications will be an added advantage
1. Served in and shown proven competence for parliamentary/County Assembly procedures and practices, and a wide experience in the role, functions and operations of a legislature through service in relevant spheres of a legislative organization:
2. A master degree or its equivalent in the relevant discipline from a university recognized in Kenya: and.
3. Any other relevant qualification from other recognized institutions like Kenya School of Government (KSG).

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60  Bachelor Degree
