JOB DETAILS:
Nyati Sacco Society Limited is in the process of implementing the PROPOSED BUFFALO PLAZA ONL.R 37/262/1 NAIROBI WEST.
We are seeking a competent Clerks of Works to be engaged in these works on contract basis based on the project implementation period of eighteen (18) months.

Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Clerk of Works shall:
• Carry out a thorough study of the drawings and specifications. Should check for errors and discrepancies in the drawings and specifications and report to the client and Architect.
• Carry out a thoroughly inspection of materials to be used in the works as specified and storage of the same Prove project supervision to ensure construction is in accordance with the contract provisions.
• Carry out a thorough inspection of workmanship and Monitor quality of work, scope and timely completion of the project.
• Ensure that proper setting out has been done and ensure Levels in relationship to agreed datum points are correct.
• Ensure that Health and Safety regulations are observed on site Carry out Detailed reporting and recording of the project progress so as to keep the Consultants, and Client fully informed on a regular basis.
• Act as liaison between the Project Manager and Contractor.
• Take measurements of works done for record keeping purposes.
• Perform any other assignment as directed by the Project Manager/CEO.

Qualifications for Clerk of Works
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Quantity surveying, Building Construction Technology. Construction Management or equivalent qualification from recognized Institutions.
• Minimum five (5) years' experience in a site supervisory role in medium to large size projects .
• Have a wide understanding of the building industry, including knowledge of materials, building technology, occupational health & safety regulations. Proficiency in M/S Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ArchiCAD/Auto CAD.
• Excellent command of oral and written English and Kiswahili.
• Be able to establish an appropriate working relationship with the contractor's staff, be persuasive and diplomatic while remaining independent.
