IsraAID is an Israeli non-governmental development and humanitarian aid organization operating in 18 countries across the globe. IsraAID's work in Kenya is focused mainly on refugee relief, protection, and development in Kakuma refugee camp and Kalobeyei settlement to increase the resilience and well‐being of 13,413 children through mobile child-friendly activities. We believe that, through strengthening local child protection systems, safe identification, and referrals of vulnerable children to appropriate service providers, families and communities will improve their ability to safeguard children and address their needs. Country Mandate: To strengthen community-based and institutional child protection services and mechanisms to ensure children’s and communities’ dignity, rights, and safety are preserved and fulfilled.
Job Purpose
To coordinate and develop IsraAID Kenya Mental health and psychosocial support program in Kakuma refugee camp and Kalobeyei settlement. This includes developing the program plan and partnerships, planning training workshops for facilitators, service providers, and supervision of PSS facilitators, monitoring, and coordination of project activities. .
Main Responsibilities
Planning and development
• Liaising with relevant partners in Kakuma and Kalobeyei for the development of the project.
• Creating a work plan for training workshops for facilitators, service providers, and community members.
• Developing schedules for visiting teams (International staff, consultants, and trainers)
• Providing supervision and oversight for PSS facilitators.
Coordination
• Coordinating expert visits.
• Coordinating procurement and logistics of Child Resource Centre.
• Coordinating training sessions for service providers.
• Coordinating community engagement and training workshops.
• Coordinating Child Protection training activities through community facilitators.
• Participating in and maintaining relationships with relevant working groups.
Reporting, monitoring, and evaluation
• Developing M&E strategies and collecting data.
• Reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Monitoring progress of project plan and implementation.
Other Tasks
Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the Country Director or Field Coordinator.

Skills, Experience, and Requirements
• At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or Development Studies).
• Master’s in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology will be an advantage.
• Proven work experience in the field of child protection, MHPSS specifically in refugee and host community contexts.
• Excellent logistical skills.
• Experience in program planning, program development, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both oral & written).
• Proficiency in Kiswahili will be an advantage.
• IT skills – Microsoft office.
• Kenyan nationals only.
• Residents of Kakuma or Turkana County will be preferred.
