JOB DETAILS:
East African Portland Cement Plc is a leading Cement Manufacturing Company.
The Company's product, sold under the brand name Blue Triangle Cement has been instrumental in the Region’s social- economic growth as virtually all segments of development have benefited from the use of this brand.
The Company is seeking to fill the following vacant positions as part of a re-organization program that is aimed at providing operational and strategic leadership.

1. Chief Security Officer: EAPC PLC/CSO/25/10/2022

Reporting directly to the Head of Human Resource & Administration, the Chief Security Officer will provide security leadership and direction to the Company through effective organization, administration and operation of the security function.

Specific responsibilities will include:-
• Developing and implementing security policy, strategy and guidelines in consistency with best global practices.
• Identifying all security risk areas and developing appropriate operational methods to mitigate the security risks.
• Carrying out security audits and surveys, reviewing security processes, procedures, contingency plans with the set security standards
• Liaising with relevant government departments, police, local administrators and neighborhood security institutions in handling security issues within the Company.
• Developing, implementing and supervising security emergency action plans.
• Providing one stop solutions on security matters that the Company faces from time to time.

Person specifications
Applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:
• Holder of a Business Degree /Degree in Security Management or equivalent professional training and Certification.
• Demonstrate experience in successful security response process.
• Thorough knowledge in criminal investigations and prosecution procedures.
• At least 10 years relevant working experience in the disciplined forces and 6 years in a senior decision making position preferably in the ranks of a Major or Senior Superintendent of police or above.
• Demonstrate working experience with electronic alarms, access control systems. CCTV and other technology based security systems
• Demonstrate capability of commanding a contracted or in house guard force
• Previous clean record in the disciplined services.

The appointment is for a three (3) years contract period which is renewable subject to satisfactory performance and delivery of set performance targets.
