JOB DETAILS:
Kenya Revenue Authority seeks a self-driven and performance oriented individual to fill the position of Chief Manager – Trade Facilitation (Authorised Economic Operator, Pre- Arrival Clearance and Port Charter) within the Customs and Border Control Department. Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner – Trade Facilitation, the job holder will be responsible for coordinating Trade Facilitation Programme and initiatives for the Authority.
Key responsibilities of the job
• Development and implementation of Pre-Arrival Clearance and AEO Programmes that guide the application, interpretation of Customs Laws and compliance
• Ensure compliance with existing trade regimes(Rules of Origin)
• Ensure compliance with Trade Facilitation Agreements and Port Charter Commitments related to Customs management.
• Coordination of all operational aspects of the division that include the attainment of performance targets, administration and organisation of staff in the Division
Professional qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a Business related discipline from a recognized university.
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Customs Administration will be an added advantage
• At least seven years work experience, with three being at management level
