JOB DETAILS:
Kenya Revenue Authority seeks a self-driven and performance oriented individual to fill the position of Chief Manager – Remissions & Exemptions within the Customs and Border Control Department. Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner – Trade Facilitation, the job holder will be responsible for managing the exemptions and remissions portfolio for the Customs Department.

Key responsibilities of the job
• Development and implementation of strategies and interventions to facilitate exemptions & remissions
• Ensure compliance checks for validity of remission submissions
• Management of vetting of exemptions from the National Treasury & other institutions and process as appropriate.
• Coordination of the duty remission scheme vetting and draft gazette notices for approval at EAC in Arusha
• Coordinate attainment of intersectional performance targets and administration of staff in the Division

Professional qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a Business related discipline from a recognized university.
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Customs Administration will be an added advantage
• At least seven years work experience, with three being at management level
