JOB DETAILS:
Duties and responsibilities:-
• The Chef will be overall in charge of food assembly, preparation, production, placement, delivery & use and care maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Planning orders of foodstuffs for availability when needed, and maintaining price fluctuation charts and other appropriate records;
• Developing and implementing policies, procedures and methods for food production in consultation with other administrative staff to achieve high quality meals, and cost effective performance objectives.
• The Chef will also ensure proper supervision and training of all kitchen staff working under him or her.

Requirements for appointment:-
For appointment to this grade, a person must be in possession of:-
• Have served in the grade of Senior Cook for at least three years; and
• Have thorough knowledge of culinary arts including cooking, baking, salad preparation and food presentation.
• He / she must also be thoroughly conversant with different methods of food storage and preservation

Education Requirement: No Requirements

Work Hours: 8
