2. Bidding will bo conducted through National Competitive Bidding using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s ‘Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" dated July. 2016 as amended from time to time (‘Procurement Regulations"), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
3. Interested  bidders are invited to attend a site visit and a pre-bid briefing which will take place on 14th  December 2022 at NadapaJ Border Post at 12.00pm. Bidders are required to assemble at KRA offices -Lokichogto at 11.30am. An online pre -bid breifing will be conducted on 19^th  December 2022 at 2.00pm. Bidders are required to join using the pre - bid link provided in the Request for Bids
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Deputy Commissioner, Supply Chain Management, Kenya Revenue Authority through eprocurement@kra.go.ke during office hours. 9.00 am and 4.00 pm East African Time, everyday excluding weekends and public holidays at the address given below.
5. The bidding document in English shall be downloaded free of charge from KRA’s website: kra.go.ke
6. Submission of bids shall strictly bo done through the KRA E-Procuremont Portal. Prospective bidders should register on KRA’s website; kra.go.ke by clicking on "New Supplier Registration' found under the E - Procurement Tab. For assistance on the supplier portal or registration, visit any KRA Procurement Office countrywide or email: srmsupport@kra.go ke. Completed bids are to be saved as PDF files named with the relevant tender description and submitted in the KRA E-procurement Web Portal so as to be received on or before I0^th January, 2023 at 1100 Hrs. Note: Submission should stnetty be done to KRA E-Procurement Portal Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 10th January, 2023 at 1100 Hrs
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security valid for one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of tender closing The amount of bid security required is Kenya Shillings Five Hundred Thousand (KES 500.000.00) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. The physical original bid security is to be submitted in the Bid Security Box located on the Ground Floor of Times Tower Building. Late bid security will be rejected and thus invalidating the respective bid. Bids will be opened electronically promptly after closing time and Bidders or their representatives are welcome to witness the opening on 21st Floor. Times Tower Building 1100hrs EAT time on I0^th January, 2023.
8. All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.
9. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
