CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

The Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts [ICIFA] is the regional professional bodyfor thefinance and investment analysts. In Kenya, ICIFA is established under the Investment and Financial Analysts [IFA] Act 2015 to regulate professional investment and financial analysts.

In order to respond effectively to its growing market needs and fully deliver on its legal mandate, ICIFA seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer [CEO]. This new role involves leading the Institute in Kenya and regionally in promoting the highest ethical and professional standards in the profewon.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Council, the Chief Executive Officer shall be responsible for the following, among others

• Effective coordination of all activities of the Institute in order to achieve its vision, mission and objectives while up holding its values.
• Preforming the role of Secretary to the Council and ensuring that the Institute, the Council and its Committees are effectively and efficiently supported.
• Implementing the strategies, policies and decisions of the Council.
• Coordinating the fom1ulation and implementation of the institute’s professional standards, training and professional development programmes.
• Prudent management of financial, human and other resources.
• Developing and implementing a framework of sound risk management and culture.
• Ensuring compliance with the law, regulations, by—laws, and code of conduct and ethics.
• Coordinating the day—to-day operations and management of the Institute in line with its Strategic Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Finance or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Must bea CIFA graduate and a full member in good standingof ICIFA.
• Possession of CPA and CS qualifications will be an added advantage.
• Must have at least 8 years of experience in a senior corporate leadership and management position.
• Must meet the statutory leadership and integrity requirements under the Constitution of Kenya 2010

• Results focused and self—driven with high emotional intelligence.
• Proven record of ethical leadership with high integrity.
• Able to work sea times sly with the Council and grow the Institute in all of its operations.
• Effective communicator and team player with ability to work effectively with all stakeholders and meet set targets
