JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose
• The Business Process Re-engineering Specialist is a technical role responsible for leading Business Process Reengineering initiatives for the Insurance vertical. The role applies process improvement and re-engineering methodologies and principles to drive efficiency and effectiveness of Business Processes.
• The responsibilities will include designing and developing the processes and forms on BPMN platforms, mostly SIS Net. He/she will propose for the most efficient future process, automation, and continuous monitoring of the re-engineered business processes. The role is responsible for identifying and applying global best practices, creating, and assessing process performance measurements, and striving for continuous improvement, and will also drive effective transitioning of the changes through project activities and objectives.
• The role identifies process improvement opportunities, before applying technology to improve and redesign the target business processes, develop, and manage the processes for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of services provided through the digital and physical channels.

Job Requirements
Minimum education
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Master’s Degree in Information Systems or related field will be an added advantage

Minimum experience
• 5- 10 years’ experience in Process Reengineering and Automation with detailed experience in BPMN 2.0 development

Critical competencies
• Detailed understanding of the BPM mapping and process automation
• Detailed experience in the Insurance industry with emphasis on implementing Insurance Core Solutions
• Detailed and proven experience in Agile development environment with specific familiarity with SCRUM
• BPMN 2.0 technical knowledge

Special requirement
• Detailed understanding of BPM systems based on BPMN 2.0 standard
• Key result areas and their key performance inputs/activities
Process Re-engineering
• 8 to 10 years’ detailed experience in business improvement projects
• Hands-on experience of BPMN process modelling tools such as Microsoft Visio and BPM engines like SISNet, Power Platform, iServer, Enterprise Architect, Aris etc.
• Demonstrated track record of re-engineering business processes and driving adoption across an organization or department
• Detailed understanding of business process streamlining methodologies
• Has managed functional processes and policies and/or projects in a financial institution
• Experience in the implementation of continuous improvement processes
• Proposing and mapping process with ideas to reduce costs and improve productivity
• Ensuring applicable processes comply with regulatory, safety and quality standards
• Developing standardized operating instructions for the changed processes and communicating to affected users
• Business improvement and performance measurement projects
• Demonstrated track record of reengineering business processes and driving adoption across an organization/department
• Review existing systems, policies and procedures against legislative requirements and propose solutions
• Overseeing all aspects related to the implementation stages of business process improvement initiatives

• Ability to break complex processes into simple understandable steps and guide on execution
• Ability to coach and influence at all levels within the organization Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team; self-motivated

Change Management
• Ensure a healthy working relationship between team and all other departments in terms of system functionality and business processes in the bank. Front and back-end and all processes in between need to be considered.
• Ensure the processes and systems used adhere to Industry standards and compliance rules
• Provide constant feedback on status of changes to be implemented
• Ensure all changes are implemented on time and the operational impact has been assessed and properly catered for
Prioritization and Escalation
• Ensure that changes are communicated and prioritized within the business as well as the team
• Attend prioritization meetings with IT and the business
