Summary
Text Book Centre (TBC) is East and Central Africa's largest Educational, Cultural and Technological Content and Products Distributor. The Company has grown tremendously over the years to become the leading bookstore chain in Kenya and around the region.

Job Purpose
The position will be responsible generating insights from data, enabling the optimization of business performance. The job holder will conduct continuous research, model, identify problems, understand opportunities and provide data-driven reports that support the CEO in decision making.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze the organization’s business activities and advise management on financial matters and the impact of business transactions and decisions.
• Develop and implement systems for data collection, analysis, reporting and presentation to provide intelligence to business stakeholders.
• Create a strategic approach to data management for the entire business through scorecard and performance tracking, performance dashboards, on-going analysis of data.
• Analysis of organization and individual performance based on predetermined KPIs and financial ratios.
• Evaluate industry and economic trends to forecast the organization’s short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position.
• Extract, compile and connect data, perform data screening, correct or rationalize discrepancies and prepare analytical reports for management.

Job Qualifications
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or related courses
• Professional qualifications in CPA, ACCA and CFA will be an added advantage
• At least 3 years business analysis experience in retail or FMCG sectors.
• Experience in the critical analysis of business performance and financial statements.
• Knowledge of data collection and visualization tools
• Financial modeling skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with bid data analytics is an added advantage
• Tech-savvy.
