JOB DETAILS:
Batch Plant Operator

Bamburi Special Products Ltd is looking to employ a Batch Plant Operator to join our team. The role reports to the Site Supervisor.
The opportunity at a glance
The position reports directly to the Site Supervisor and is responsible for operating the batch plant in order to meet production targets, product quality and delivery schedules, complying to set environmental and safety standards

Your responsibilities
1. Perform work in compliance with the group health and safety policies, standards and procedures and adhere to the internal health and safety policies, procedure, safe work instructions and risk assessments prior to execution of work.
2. Operate the batch plant in order to meet production targets, product quality, and delivery schedules.
3. Make all the corresponding control adjustments to ensure production efficiency.
4. Monitor concrete results to check for quality standards.
5. Conduct troubleshooting to solve problems that affect process and equipment operation.
6. Monitor all operating parameters of the equipment through periodic checking and inspection
7. Ensures proper cleaning and maintenance of the central mixer on a daily basis at the end of batching
8. Report any notifications needed to schedule repair of the equipment

3. Quality of the batching operations (product conformity as per customer orders and on time batching)
4. Ensures that batching operations are carried out satisfactorily and within the set timeframe

Your experience
This job may be for you if you have:
1. A Diploma in electrical/mechanical engineering
2. With minimum 3 years’ experience in batch plant operation
3. Knowledgeable in concrete technology and IT operations/controls
4. Cement and Concrete Technology, Basic Troubleshooting, IT operations
5. Problem-solving, Communication,
6. Team work, Customer Orientation
7. Open-mindedness, Creativity, Integrity
