JOB DETAILS:
Job purpose
• The position is responsible for facilitating an efficient HR function for the area of responsibility through responsible and timely delivery of HR services and interventions. Reporting to the Associate Director, HR | Africa, the incumbent will have responsibility for provision of effective and efficient HR support to all staff in their area of responsibility and maintain compliance with all HR policies and procedures in line with Evidence Action values and philosophy.

Duties and responsibilities
• Ensure staff compliance to policy, HR practices, and local law.
• Coordinate and provide HR and administrative support in on-boarding and off boarding functions
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure that access to staff records and information is strictly to the authorized personnel.
• Maintain staff records and personnel files and keep them up to date; custodian of HR documents whose ownership falls under AD,HR
• Offer administrative support to the AD, HR for all HR related matters for the region

Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with Human Resource Management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
• Strong communication, and people management skills
• 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role in an international organization.
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to interact in a mature, professional and friendly manner with local and international colleagues
• Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and under pressure
• Attention to details with highly developed organizational skills
• Quick to learn, motivated to self-teach and capable of independently translating new knowledge into practice
