JOB DETAILS:
Associate Programme Officer

Competencies

Education
• An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in law, social sciences, police administration, business or public administration, management or other relevant social or political areas with adequate focus on international maritime affairs, international security policy, criminal justice and/or law enforcement issues, is required.
• A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Work Experience
• A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project management in support to or administration within the area of rule of law and criminal justice at the international level, national and/or international law enforcement, naval, coast guard or other maritime operations is required
• Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is required
• Experience in grants, project and fund management related modules in SAP/Umoja is desirable.
• Work experience with SAP/Umoja is desirable.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
