Education
• Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in urban and regional planning, environmental or climate change management, business administration, management, economics or a related field.
• A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience
• A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration, urban climate change planning or management, or related area. (No experience is required for candidates who have passed the United Nations National Competitive Recruitment Examination.)
• Experience in research and sound analysis related to programme/project development, and implementation, focusing on human settlements and Climate Change is desirable.
Languages
• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
