Assistant Procurement Manager- Resilience & Sustainability
Purpose of Role
The main purpose of this roleis primarily to lead and implement the resilience plan and Sustainable sourcing strategy for Tea in Africa
Qualifications & Experience Required
Relevant Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
• 4 years experience in logistics, sustainability or relevant experience

Accountabilities
Service
• Oversee TBO Directs and Auction logistics teams for service delivery as per agreed KPIs.
• Coordinate resolution of Customer complaints with respective suppliers through Corrective Action Plans within the agreed resolution timelines
• Oversee supplier relationship management for all shipping lines stipulated on the annual global freight agreement
• Responsible for the generation of shipping forecast and planning.
• Hold shipping lines accountable to agreed SLAs
• Oversee the implementation of customers’ shipping and handling requirements
• Lead for all TBO logistics issues mixing units and 3rd party service providers.
• Responsible for implementation of TBO Quality Management System (QMS)
Resilience
• Responsible for creating and implementing Port Resilience Plan in Mombasa
• Implement Business Continuity plan with main service provider for logistics
• Assists in developing a strategic sustainable service provider for logistics
• Responsible for increasing agility within logistics.
• Crisis Management within logistics
Sustainability
• Assure Rain Forest Alliance certification by tea suppliers across Africa
• Assists in the approach to develop Africa tea suppliers on Responsible Sourcing Policy (RSP)
• Ensure Responsible Supplier Plans audits
• In liaison with LM, coordinates implementation of Value Creation Projects (VCP)
• Implement Enhancing Livelihood projects within Tea Africa
Travel
• As per job/site requirements, local travel likely
