Job summary
To lead a team of dedicated Claims employees to obtain the lowest possible claims cost while delivering consistently high levels of service to each and every customer..

Job description
o Appoint and manage performance of service providers
o Process motor claims and ensure that claims are paid within the set TATs
o Resolving customers complaints and disputes swiftly and fairly to guarantee customer satisfaction.
o Approve claims settlement within agreed limits (signing authority)
o Preparing and presenting accurate and timely management reports.
o Examining loss assessment reports and recommending settlement or repudiation
o Assist and manage queries escalated by staff, brokers, clients or service providers to ensure timeous resolution.
o Liaise and visit brokers to build relationships
o Ensure that all the cost containment strategies in motor claims section are adhered to.
o Collaborate with underwriting department on areas or actions that may minimize losses or risk improvement recommendations
o Escalate poor performing accounts to Head of claims for management
o Preparing claim payment vouchers for clients and service providers & credit notes
o Review claims reserves as per the set guidelines
o Attending to walk in clients and via telephone
o Manage performance of the direct reports
o Ensure proof of claims payments are shared with the clients and service providers.
o Liaise with the IRA on queries raised by the Authority
