JOB DETAILS:
This is a temporary/short term position available for three (3) to six (6) months. LOCUM 1 POSITION REF: PU/ADV/09/08/2019 .
Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain a clean working area in the laboratory.
• Conducting practical sessions with students.
• Assist in development of laboratory manuals.
• Assisting in maintaining an updated inventory.
• Assist in budget preparation for teaching and laboratory materials.
• Ensure the laboratory is opened and locked in time.
• Assist in ensuring the laboratory environment is safe.
• Supporting in departmental innovations, research and income generation activities.
• Participate in quality management systems in the laboratory.
• Any other duty assigned by the immediate supervisor
Job Skills:
• Strong technical ability in the relevant field
• Handle chemicals in use and aware of risks hazards involved.
• Properly use of protective equipment.
• Computer literacy
• Good spoken and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills
• Teamwork skills
Job Qualifications: • Applicants must have a Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Job Experience Requirements: • Have a minimum of two (2) years relevant practical working experience with proven integrity, independence, innovativeness and compliance to deadlines.
