JOB DETAILS:

KEY TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant ICT Officer is responsible for
TRAINING AND SUPPORT
• Providing ICT support and training to staff in line with company policy.
• Overseeing user support using a helpdesk system.
• Assist in ICT documentation.
• Assist in creating an ICT knowledge base.
• Ensuring data backup and recoverability tests are done.
• Advising on emerging trends to ensure the Institution is ICT compliant.
• Supporting any other department as may be called upon from time to time

IT SECURITY
• Assisting in ensuring that the institution is cyber secure by monitoring and mitigating cyber threats.
• Assisting to ensure safe custody of all ICT equipment’s and systems.
• Continuous monitoring and maintenance to ensure integrity and availability of all ICT systems including, network, internet, applications, and servers.
• Adhering to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.

PROGRAMME ACTIVITIES
• Provide necessary technical assistance to the programme team.
• Assisting with Programme activities such as taking videos, photos and any other area that need arises.

OTHER RELATED DUTIES
• Technical support in AGM functions and Board meetings
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC:
• Diploma in Information Technology

PROFESSIONAL:
• Degree in Computer Science desired

EXPERIENCE
• Six months experience. 2 years desired.
• Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of ICT systems

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 6

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
