1. Assistant Director Marketing And Creative Officer, JOB GROUP
CPSB 05 (1 POST)
The Officer reports to the Director of Tourism and wildlife conservation and will play an essential role in marketing, creative and digital communications. The Officer will be responsible for leading tourism teams in developing creative guidelines and directing creative work, including print collateral, websites, email campaigns, television and radio advertising and many related tasks. The Officer will be charged with overall responsibility of promoting tourism through online publicity and marketing.

Duties And Responsibilities
• Develop strategies for marketing Samburu as preferred tourist destination.
• Liase with lodges, travel agents, Departments and other agencies to market different
• tourism products in the County.
• Develop policies, budgets and work plans on marketing. Coordinate development of software for marketing and information management for
• tourism.
• Manage Department's website and social blogs. Undertake online marketing and publicity of products.
• Design promotional materials for Tourism marketing.
• Promote tourism through expos, exhibitions and trade fairs and other events. Participate in developing concepts, materials and activities for tourism promotional events such as Camel Derby, Safaris, Sports and Cultural tourism events. Perform any other duty assigned by the Supervisors.

Requirements For Appointment
• Be a Kenyan Citizen.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management, Commerce, Marketing, Information Technology or any other related field.
• At least seven (7) years of relevant working experience.
• Be a computer literate and conversant with advance computer packages
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
• An intimate understanding of design, copy and web best practices/guidelines.
• A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts. Strong persuasive skills.
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.
