Job Requirements
• A minimum of Bachelor degree in Social Sciences with a bias in Social Work, Sociology, Community Development, Gender Studies, Counseling Psychology, Anthropology or any other related discipline from a recognized Institution.
• Registered practitioner with Kenya National Association of Social Workers, & Kenya Counseling Association
• Ten (10) years’ experience, five (5) years of which must have been working with children, the Aged, PWDs and other vulnerable families.
• Possess Leadership skills, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Organizational skills, Ability to work under pressure, Negotiation skills, Ability to build and lead cohesive teams, Problem solving skills
• Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and integrity.

Job Description
Reporting to the Deputy Director Family & Children Services
• Supervision of personnel in Family & Social Welfare Unit.
• Develop Unit work plans, Budget, Performance Contract documents and Procurement plans.
• Develop & Co-ordinate Family & Social Welfare programs and policies.
• Develop appropriate programs and database for vulnerable groups in the County.
• Develop and co-ordinate of Advocacy and Empowerment Programmes In the County.
• Develop & co-ordinate plans and programs for older persons in the County.
• Oversee the implementation of Family & Social Welfare programs and policies.
• Oversee implementation of psychosocial support and care programs in the County.
• Coordinate training & sensitization of vulnerable persons/groups in the County.
• Oversee Implementation of work plans and planned programmes.
• Oversee implementation of Geriatric services and care for the Aged.
