JOB DETAILS:

Duties and Responsibilities
• Implementation agricultural projects and programmes related to agri-nutrition;
• Participate in the development and review of policies related to food and nutrition;
• Promote collaborative activities in area of appropriate household technologies and nutrition; Coordinate the development and dissemination of technical materials on food and nutrition; Implement collaborative activities in food and nutrition;
• Coordinate the preparation and implementation of work plans and budgets related to agri-nutrition, capacity building and backstopping on household level value addition, income generation and appropriate technologies;
• Coordinate demonstrations and dissemination of agri-nutrition technologies during field days, exhibition and shows; Prepare periodic reports on food and nutrition activities.

Requirements for Appointment
• Kenyan Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields; Food / Nutrition and Dietetics/ Food science and Nutrition/Dairy and Food Technology/Home Economics or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.
• Master’s degree will be an added advantage
• Registration by the Council of the Institute of Nutritionists and Dieticians (CIND) or its recognized equivalent.
• Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
