JOB DETAILS:

Duties and Responsibilities
• Identification and documentation of opportunities for land development and soil and water conservation;
• Carrying out reconnaissance surveys and farm mapping services for development of conservation structures water harvesting and cropping;
• Designing water-harvesting structures and supervising the construction work;
• Providing on-farm contractual design and survey services to clients;
• Liaising with Sub-County Agribusiness Development Officers in farm planning;
• Generating and review land use maps on land use potential; Preparation of work plans and budgets; and
• Compilation of periodic reports.
• Any other duties assigned by the Station Manager

Requirements for Appointment
• Kenyan
• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in a field of Agricultural Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
• Must be registered as a graduate Engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
• Must be in possession of current certificate of good standing from Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
• Having at least 1-year experience in survey and design of soil and water conservation structures will be an added advantage.
• Must have Certification in CAD applications.
