St. JOSEPH JERICHO AND BLESSED SACRAMENT BURUBURU CC SELF HELP GROUPS
The management committees of St. Joseph Jericho CC SHG and Blessed Sacrament Buruburu CC SHG are pleased to advertise for the following job vacancy whose holder will be serving in the two group’s offices alternately. The two Self-Help groups are located in the eastern area of Nairobi County.
Position: Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities
• Preparing assets, liabilities and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Documenting financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommending financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Summarizing current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports.
• Substantiating financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Offering customer service.
• Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing accounts information.
• Acting as the credit officer.
• Performing any other duties as may be required by the management.

Skills and Qualifications
The candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
• CPA section 4
• Diploma/Degree in accounting will be an added advantage
• At least 3 years relevant working experience
• Computer literate
• Conversant with accounting systems
• Marketing skills
• Administrative skills

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Associate Degree
