Requirements for Appointment
• Must have served in the grade of Assistant Director of Agriculture for at least three (3) years;
• Must be in possession of a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in any of the following fields; Food Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Economics, Natural Resource Management, Agribusiness, Agriculture Extension, Agriculture Education, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Must be in possession of a Master’s Degree in any of the following fields: Food Science, Home Economics, Horticulture, Agriculture Economics, Natural Resource Management, Agriculture Extension, Agriculture Education or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• A Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme Course lasting not less than six (6) weeks or its’ equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Must have demonstrated a high degree of administrative capability, technical and professional competence; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities;
• Oversee activities of the sections within the department.
• Coordinate all the agricultural services
