Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: -Commerce, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Sociology, Law, Agricultural Economics, Cooperative Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management and Organizational Development, Finance or Agri-business from a recognized institution:
• Served in the grade of Chief Cooperative Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years.
• Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
• Must have served for NOT less than three (3) years at the level of a Chief Cooperative officer.
• Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution: and
• Demonstrated merit and shown ability as reflected in work performance and results.
• Certified Associate in Project Manager or its equivalent.
• Registered Member of Kenya Association of Project Management or
• Member of a relevant professional body.

Job Description
• Promoting Cooperative societies
• Advising on Cooperative investments
• Overseeing Cooperative elections
• Analyzing data for data formulation
• Developing and monitoring work plans for cooperative extension services
• Overseeing cooperative activities in several cooperative societies
• Evaluating cooperative activities and trends for promoting cooperative movement
• Enforcing compliance with cooperative legislation.
• An officer may be deployed as a subject matter specialist in any of these areas: - Education and training, marketing, finance, savings and credit, projects, accounts, governance or statistics.
• Participate in the budgeting process for the section.
