Job Description
Reporting to the respective conservation area managers directly and indirectly to the Head Airwing through the Chief Pilot, the overall responsibility will be to conduct aerial works to facilitate wildlife management and decision making in the designated conservation areas and also build up flight management data through the pilot reporting system. .
Duties and Responsibilities
• Flying aircrafts to ensure effective aerial patrols and conservation area administration
• Flying aircrafts for animal census exercise
• Participating in security operations
• Locating animals during translocation, veterinary and capture operations
• Ascertaining aircraft fitness for flight as per pilots operating handbook and any laid down operation and legal requirements for every flight
• Maintaining flight records
• Providing aerial coverage for wildlife security ground operations
• Locating animal concentration and advising the security team for easy monitoring and protection
• Conducting commercial flight in accordance with the industry and institution standards

Job Requirements
• Must be a Kenyan Citizen
• Minimum KCSE Grade “C” Minus or its equivalent
• Valid and current fixed-wing Kenyan Private Pilot’s License (PPL)
• Minimum total flying hours: forty (40)
• Be in possession of valid and current class one (1) medical certificate from a KCAA authorized medical examiner
• Experience on Tail Wheel Aircrafts will be an added advantage
