JOB DETAILS:

Livestock Production Officer

Requirements For Appointment
• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Bachelor of Science in Animal production/Livestock production or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Professionals registered with the Kenya Veterinary Board
• At least three (3) years of relevant work experience
• Any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Duties And Responsibilities
• Training and advising farmers on matters relating to animal production, livestock marketing, range management, apiculture and ranching.
• Identify training needs for farmers and farmer groups;
• Promote livestock farming in the county
• Organizing and executing agricultural extension programs and demonstrate farm visits
• Perform any other livestock production activities as they emerge
• Possess ICT Knowledge
