The National Gender and Equality commission NGEC is a Constitutional Commission established pursuant to Artiste 59 of the Constitution and the National Gender & Equality commission Act No. 15 of 2011.
Applications are invited from qualified persons to fill the following vacancies in the National Gender and Equality Commission.

Qualification for appointment
A person shall be qualified for appointment as the Chairperson of the Commission if the person:

Qualifications for appointment
A person shall be qualified for appointment as a member of the Commission if the person.-
Holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya Has knowledge and at least ten years’ experience in matters relating to any of the following fields
Has had a distinguished career in their respective fields and; Meets the requirements of chapter six at the Constitution
A person shall not be qualified for appointment as a chairperson and member lf such person
In addition to the above, on the day of the interview shortlisted applicants will be required to avail clearances from the following institutions;
Shortlisted candidates shall be required to produce originals of that National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates, transcripts and testimonials during the Interview.
NOTE that it is a criminal offence to produce fake certificates, transcripts and testimonials during interview
Candidates so nominated shall he required to go through a Committee for wetting pursuant to Public (Parliamentary Approval Act N0. 33 of 2011)
