JOB DETAILS:
The County Government of Kajiado invites applications from suitable and qualified Kenyan Citizens to fill the following position
Member, County Public Service Board.
No of Posts: 4(Four)
Terms of Engagement: 6 (Six) Year Non-renewable contract
Remuneration: As Prescribed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assisting in preparation of regular reports for submission to the County Assembly on the execution of the functions of the Board
• Observing good corporate Governance principles in the performance of your duties
• Ensuring delivery of quality services to the citizens
• Promoting public service values and principles in the County Government as referred to in articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
• Advising on appointment of persons to hold or act in the Public County Offices, including on the Boards of urban areas within the County and to confirm appointments.
• Attend meetings of the Board and relevant official functions
• Performing other duties as may be assigned by the Board

Requirements for Appointment
• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Be a holder of a first Degree from a University recognized in Kenya (A Master's degree or higher qualification will be an added advantage)
• Have knowledge and a working experience of not less than five years in Administration and Management
• Be a professional who demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct
• Not be a public or state officer
• Demonstrate clear understanding of National and County Government goals, policies and developmental objectives including values and principles of governance; as well as demonstrate an appreciation of the diversity within the County
• Have thorough knowledge of the structural, legislative and regulatory framework of the Public Service
• Satisfy the requirement of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, with the capacity to work under pressure to meet strict timelines
• Be committed to be part of a team that will enable the County Government achieve her vision.
