Duties And Responsiblities
• Liaises with other staff to coordinate and monitor trainee’s progress and performance.
• Coaches and provides leadership to newly deployed instructors
• Coordinates storage, care and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Liaises with other staff to coordinate and monitor trainees on industrial attachment
• Coaches and provides leadership to newly deployed instructors.
• Provides theoretical and practical instruction in areas of specialization.
• Prepares and maintains schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, teaching and learning materials and
• Carries out trainee assessment, records and prepares trainee progress reports.
• Ensures proper storage, care and usage of teaching materials, tools and equipment.
• Administers examinations to trainees,
• Coordinates co-curricular activities in the Vocational Training Centre
• Ensures trainee discipline is maintained.
• Liaise with relevant industries for trainee attachment, guide, monitor and supervise trainees on attachment and prepare trainee progress reports.
• Sets up, plans and co-ordinates vocational learning opportunities and plan both school and workshop based activities tailored to meet the individual needs of the trainees.
• Provides evidence of pupil engagement including photographs and portfolios and demonstrating pupil progression.
• Provides vocational training opportunities in line with industry standard requirements and ensure all learning opportunities offer employment opportunities and access to college placements/apprenticeships.
• Advises, supports, and liaises with teachers/careers/care managers to ensure individual learning needs are addressed and appropriate behavioral/teaching and learning strategies are adopted.

Requirements For The Appointment
• Be a Kenyan Citizen
• Diploma in Technical Education (In the specific area of Specialization).
• 2 -year teaching experience in a Vocational Training Environment
Applicants are required to get clearance from the following institutions to meet requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya:
• Kenya Revenue Authority
• Higher Education Loans Board
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
• Criminal Investigation Department
• Credit Reference Bureau
