Veteran Mission Hospitals Limited was born from the identification of the presence of a huge gap in the medical industry which is between what the people need and what is available in the industry.
Are you a skilled Radio-Sonographer looking to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare environment? Veteran Mission Hospital in Syokimau, Nairobi, is seeking two experienced and dedicated Radio-Sonographers to join our team and provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and small parts ultrasound.
• Conduct radiographic examinations including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans.
• Operate imaging equipment and adjust settings to ensure optimal imaging quality.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, proper positioning, and identification of anatomical structures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to interpret and discuss findings.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy during all imaging procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for ultrasound, radiology, CT, and MRI procedures.
• Participate in the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment.
• Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound, radiology, CT, and MRI technology and practices through continuous education and training.
• Assist in developing and implementing department policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance diagnostic services.
Qualifications:
• Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or Degree in Radiography from a recognized institution.
• Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in both radiology and sonography, with proficiency in performing CT scans, MRI scans, and X-rays.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
• Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records.
