JOB DETAILS:
Family AIDS and Education Services (FACES) in collaboration between the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and University of Washington (UW) - and other affiliated institutions. Family AIDS Care and Education Services (FACES) program, is a comprehensive HIV prevention and Treatment program managing many sites in Kisumu County.
Global Programs for Research & Training is seeking to employ two (2) program clinical officers who will oversee all HIV-related program areas including, adult and pediatric HIV care and treatment, PMTCT, HTS and TB/HIV care at designated facilities. The positions require a 3 months commitment. The start date will be 15 July 2019 and payments will be paid on a monthly basis. .
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee all HIV-related program areas including, adult and pediatric HIV care and treatment, PMTCT, HTS and TB/HIV care at designated facilities
• Support systems for HIV service decentralization, quality of care, commodity management, and reporting along with support supervision at designated facilities
• Plan and facilitate trainings including on-job training and NASCOP trainings
• Mentor clinical and other facility staff
• Work closely with SCHMT counterparts, facility in-charges, and other MOH staff to ensure provision of quality HIV services and increasing MOH ownership and capacity
Job Skills:
• Must have demonstrated leadership experience
• Good knowledge of Internet based technologies and configurations; firewall equipment and configurations and active directory management.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team.
• Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision and to take initiative
• Great presentation skills.
• Ability to keep abreast with and advice the programme on implementing current relevant technology
Job Qualifications:
• Diploma in clinical medicine
• Registered clinical officer or registered nursing officer and in good standing
• Must have mentorship/training experience

Job Experience Requirements:
• At least two (2) years’ experience actively involved in HIV services – care and treatment, PMTCT, TB/HIV and HTS
