Salary Scale KShs 38,270 × 1,470 – 39,740 × 1,520 – 41,260 × 1,710 – 42,970 × 1,920 - 44,890 × 2000 - 46,890 × 2,110 – 49,000 × 2,170 - 51,170 p.m.
House allowance As applicable in Nairobi County

a) Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -
i. Maintenance of machines and equipment used in instruction.
ii. Preparing lesson plans, instructing, assessing and marking theory & practical work for students. iii. Explain how a car operates, how to perform safety checks and what to do in case of an emergency.
iv. Guide learners through the new NTSA guideline and curriculum.
v. Prepare learners for NTSA Driving exams
vi. Maintain an accurate record of attendance of the students both in class and field
Practical vii. Correspond with management concerning the materials/devices/kits required.

b) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
i. Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Technology a recognised institution
OR
ii. Be a holder of Diploma in Automotive Technology Engineering and possess
Minimum of 2 years’ work experience as a driving instructor iii. Valid NTSA Instructors Registration and Valid Instructors license iv. Good conduct certificate
v. Possess good Communication Skills and be computer literate
vi. Conversant with NTSA Traffic Act and Regulations
vii. Diploma in Teacher Technical Education or KTTC Instructor Certificate will be an added advantage

Experience in Months: 24
