JOB DETAILS:
A. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE, ADMINISTRATION AND CITZEN PARTICIPATION
Village Administrators- Job Group ‘H’ (135 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate general administration functions and service position in the village;
• Assist in dissemination and implementation of policies and plans at the village;
• Assist in developing and implementing activities to empower communities;
• Monitor and report on infrastructure and public facilities status;
• Facilitate of citizen participation in village councils;
• Mobilize citizens to attend public participation events/activities;
• Mobilize and educate citizens to participate in development projects;
• Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports;
• Perform any other function delegated by the supervision;
• Exercising any functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board Requirements for appointment
• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Be a diploma holder in any of the following fields related to administration: public administration/management, human resource management, community development, development studies, public management/governance, political science/sociology, anthropology, psychology, business administration/management, linguistics and any other diploma related to public administration from recognized institution in Kenya;
N/B: The Diploma attained MUST be of at LEAST Two Years from an institution recognized in Kenya.
• Minimum two (2) years of working experience in public administration;
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of County development objectives;
• Demonstrate administrative ability and competence in work performance;
• Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the constitution of Kenya

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: Associate Degree
