Cook

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cook a variety of food following standard practices and procedure;
  • Maintenance of kitchen cleanliness to avoid contamination of food;
  • Report any defect on equipment, food supplies and other unusual conditions; and (iv)Ensure safety of perishable materials by refrigerating them to avoid wastage.

Qualifications Knowledge and Skills

  • Artisan in Food and Beverage from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate of Good Health issued by a Government Medical Services; and (iii)Certificate in in computer applications

 

Secretary

Duties and responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls to ensure timely communication passed on to the relevant office
    • Operate   office   equipment   in    printing   and   photocopying   documents   to provide administrative assistance to the institution
    • Prepare responses to simple routine correspondences in a timely manner
    • Organise administration records and correspondences to ensure easy accessibility to the documentation/ information whenever required
    • Classify documents and materials to ensure security and confidentiality of office records

Receive and attend to visitors and clients in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the respective offices

  • Monitor cleanliness of the office and ensure that the office is well-managed to promote a good working environment
    • Maintain of an efficient, smooth and easily accessible filing system to ensure required documents are traced in an efficient manner

Qualifications Knowledge and Skills

Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) or its equivalent from a recognized Institution; OR

  1. Typewriting Ill (50 w.p.m.)/ Computerized Document Processing III;
  2. Shorthand III (100 w.p.m.) or Audio typing III;
  3. Business English III/Communications II;
  4. Office Management III;
  5. Secretarial Duties II;
  6. Commerce II; and
  7. Certificate in computer applications.
  8. One (1) year relevant experience in similar organization

 

Supply Chain Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the supply chain function of the college;
  • Undertake market surveys and research in inventory and stock control in accordance with the laid down regulations and procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with government’s supply chain management regulations;
  • Preparation of tender and prequalification documents for expression of interest;
  • Provision of advisory services in the procurement matters to the college; and
  • Preparation of consolidated procurement and disposal plan; and
  • Supervising stock taking, reconciliation, preparation and maintenance of records.

Qualifications Knowledge and Skills

  • Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
  • Member of a recognized professional body;
  • Two (2) years relevant experience in supply chain, storekeeping; and
  • Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.

 

Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of final accounts and statements to present the fair view of financial status/position of the institution
    • Preparing, verifying and signing payment vouchers and committal documents in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations;
    • Maintain accounts records for accountability purpose;
    • Monitor and control the institution’s expenditure as per the allocated budget for accountability purpose and to ensure that there is no misuse of funds;
    • Monitor the institution cash flow to ensure availability of funds at all times, to support smooth operations in the college, and
    • Preparing management reports including imprest and expenditure returns.
    • Deve1op the institution budget to ensure sufficient allocation of resources that support the implementation of its strategy in an efficient and effective manner.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) or Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
  • Two (2) years relevant experience in similar organization;
  • Certificate in computer applications.

 

Security Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate periodic security risk assessment to determine and plan for key priority areas in order to reduce exposure to liabilities
  • Carry out regular patrols around the institution to ensure that trainees, staff and assets are safe;
  • Confirm authorization of all equipment entering and leaving the institution to protect assets and persons in the institution.
  • Restrict unauthorized persons from gaining access to the institution to ensure compliance to procedures and safety in the institution are maintained.

Qualification Knowledge and Skills

  • KCSE
  • Certificate in security related field;
  • Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police Service. (iv)Certificate in basic first aid from a recognized institution
