Lori Systems is a fast growing, technology venture based in Nairobi, Kenya led by Harvard & MIT graduates and backed by local & international investors and advisors. Leveraging 3 years of research at Harvard and in-house developed technology, Lori has built a logistics platform that is revolutionising the cargo-transport value chain in Africa – from the ground up. The relative cost of moving goods in the region is one of the highest in the world - leading to up to 75% of a product’s cost going to logistics (compared to 6% in the US). Lori enables the logistics space to operate at an order of magnitude more efficiently than it does today. Higher efficiency through Lori has been demonstrated to drive costs down which is expected to create new jobs & stimulate overall economic development in a tangible way. Lori is seeking a hands-on Driver Engagement Associate to join our Transport Excellence – Driver Engagement team. You will be tasked to bring in new ideas and join the drive of having a world class platform of driver engagement and needed to conduct professional calls, manage drivers according to the organisation’s policy and mostly prepare and provide accurate and timely reports. You will directly report to your line manager. .
Responsibilities
• Monitor on-journey trucks from point of loading to the point of offloading.
• Ensure professional calls are made out to drivers for getting required information.
• Ensure client reports are timely prepared and shared for reference of on-journey,offloading and empty return trucks.
• Accurate and detailed information to always be keyed in the TrakIT system.
• Ensure daily clean up is done on the periscope dashboards to avoid backlogs and inaccurate information.
• Monitor Whatsapp groups and respond to groups in a professional manner where answers are straight forward.
• Consistent follow up with clerks on offloading sites to provide accurate information.
• Prepare breakdown reports, incident reports and accident reports which are shared on a timely manner as per SOP.
• Ensure full participation on team meetings by giving feedback on the daily challenges faced..

Requirements
• A Diploma in a logistics / business related course
• Track record of delivering results at a top company
• 1-2 years’ experience from a role in customer service
• A proven leader with a high ability to influence others
• An innovative approach to problem-solving
• A willingness and ability to get into the weeds and solve problems at hand
• Excellent project management skills
