Lori Systems is a fast growing, technology venture based in Nairobi, Kenya led by Harvard & MIT graduates and backed by local & international investors and advisors. Leveraging 3 years of research at Harvard and in-house developed technology, Lori has built a logistics platform that is revolutionising the cargo-transport value chain in Africa – from the ground up. The relative cost of moving goods in the region is one of the highest in the world - leading to up to 75% of a product’s cost going to logistics (compared to 6% in the US). Lori enables the logistics space to operate at an order of magnitude more efficiently than it does today. Higher efficiency through Lori has been demonstrated to drive costs down which is expected to create new jobs & stimulate overall economic development in a tangible way. Lori is seeking a hands-on Summer MBA Fellow to join our Product team. Lori is seeking a highly motivated, smart and hands-on operator to join our product operations team. You will play a crucial role in the build out of Lori’s global operation processes and their automation. You will work at the intersection of our business operations and technology, to ensure we develop the right solutions for our stakeholders and deploy those solutions. The successful candidate is a process driven doer who excels at change and project management and enjoys building. .

  Responsibilities
• Define product requirements and implement process and system improvements across the organization
• Own, execute and change-manage complex projects involve technology and other business units at Lori
• Drive process automation across the company
• Work with product teams on product introductions, usability testing, and training program
• Enforce adoption and compliance to processes to merge operations and new products
• Develop partnerships to further the impact and reach of our tech operations
• Draft requirements, presentations and training documentation to communicate processes and priorities to stakeholders

  Requirements
• 2-5 years of experience from a top tier firm in consulting, finance, or similar growth or product operations roles in high-growth environments
• Undergraduate degree from top tier university
• Pursuing an MBA Degree from a top university
• Proven analytical skills to understand metrics and build insights from data
• Bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering business results.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent structured thinking and communication skills.
• Success in developing, implementing and automating processes
• Experience in emerging markets supply chain is a plus
