Manyatta Screenings is an alternative outdoor screening experience celebrating short-films made by filmmakers from Eastern Africa. It was born out of a need to create more spaces for short films.

We believe that short films are powerful artistic entities in their own right. They are forms of narrative and intellectual independence and timely captions of how filmmakers see and comment on the world around them.
Few opportunities exist to see them. This is where we step in.
We are committed to cultivating the East African film ecosystem, growing local audiences, and creating a space for filmmakers and their films
