Masai Mara
Kenya’s most famous and visited game reserve offers an extraordinary density of wildlife, including the Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. Celebrated site of the Great Migration when over two million wildebeests and thousands of zebras and antelopes swarm over the plains in search of fresh pasture after the rains.
Serengeti
A World Heritage site, Serengeti is Tanzania’s most visited Park. It offers an abundance of wildlife within its 30,000 square kilometres. Little wonder that the name "Serengeti" is said to be derived from the word "Seringit" in Maa, meaning "endless plains". Have breakfast in the Masai Mara and hop on one of our daily flights to enjoy your lunch in Serengeti.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Home to half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas, Bwindi offers an experience you will never forget. Situated in southwest Uganda, it is also home to chimpanzees, mountain elephants and unique birdlife.
Amboseli
Famous for its breathtaking scenery in the shadow of Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, the Park has a wealth of wildlife but is perhaps most famous for its elephants. The protected area is also home to lions, cheetah, Cape buffaloes, impalas, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes and Grant's zebras.
Samburu
A magical haven in Kenya’s northern frontier, its wildlife has several species unique to the region. Known as the Special Five, they are Beisa oryx, Reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk and the Somali ostrich. The reserve is also home to Big Cats, buffaloes and elephants. Buffalo Springs Reserve has recorded over 400 species of birds. Samburu’s landscape is a blend of rugged hills, woodland, grassland, and riverine forest.
Meru
The wild and beautiful Meru National Park is most famous for its association with the legendary Joy Adamson of ‘Born Free’ fame. It boasts some of the best sightings for big cats, the endangered black rhinos, elephants, oryxes, and different antelopes such as the rare Lesser kudu, duiker and dik-dik. Straddling the equator, it is crisscrossed by 13 rivers and mountain-fed streams. Its diverse scenery ranges from woodlands on the slopes of the Nyambeni Mountain Range, northeast of Mt Kenya, to wide open plains.
Lewa Downs/Laikipia
Wild and sparsely populated, Laikipia is the gateway to Kenya’s Northern frontier. Many of the large privately owned ranches have guesthouses, homestays, and private camps. Lewa Downs is a privately owned ranch of 16,000 hectares converted into a wildlife conservancy. It is the home of conservation efforts of several endangered species - from Black and White rhino - breeding to translocations – to the rescue and treatment of injured wildlife. Separate ranching activities are divided equally between cattle ranching and tourism, with profits going to the local Samburu community.
