Overview
Kenya Builders & Concrete Company Ltd (KBCLL) was established in1950 in Nairobi to manufacture Precast Concrete Products for the local market. Since then, Kenya Builders has grown and developed into a major diversified industrial group with operations spanning in various business sectors. The Groups core business activities comprise:
- To be manufacture and sale of Precast Concrete Products
- Quarrying of aggregates
- To be undertaking civil projects constructing of roads and drainages
- Supplying ready mix concrete to construction sites and residential homes.
Today, KBCLL markets a wider range of concrete products than any other concrete manufacturer in East Africa, and provides a total solution to the customers’ needs. The Group serves Government, civil engineering, construction, industrial, energy, agricultural and domestic markets within East Africa, supporting the infrastructure development. The Group comprises of 4 manufacturing plants and 4 quarries in East Africa. In addition, an extensive sales and service network caters for the needs of customers around the neighboring countries.

Quality
Raw Material Inspection: Raw materials such as cement, aggregates & and are inspected at arrival on our factory site. The materials are sent to manufacturing unit only after approval of quality controllers.
In House Process Quality Control: The manufacturing is done under the strict supervision of highly qualified engineers.
Final Testing: We conduct rigorous testing for every batch of products at random, to ensure that the entire batch complies with Kenyan standards. Various tests conducted at our facility include the following for precise assessment of our aggregate and concrete based products:
- Slump Test
- Dimension Test
- Compressive Strength Test
