Tax Manager

Tax Manager’s Role
• Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships and services
• Complete tenders as well as proposals for business opportunities
• Research, analyze and interpret changing tax legislation/ provisions
• Create tax strategies for clients and planning their financial futures
• Review client policies and advise clients on tax implications as well as tax amendments
• Prepare and analyze clients financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance
• Carry out detailed computations of tax liabilities and advise clients on managing such liabilities
• Prepare and submit compliance tax returns for clients within the stipulated timelines
• Undertake estate planning and advise on tax residence as well as domicile matters
• Provide guidance on indirect taxation, such as VAT, customs planning and environmental taxes
• Manage and deliver client Transfer Pricing policies or projects
• Prepare and present Transfer Pricing Reports, and support clients in Revenue Authority audits on Transfer Pricing;
• Assist clients in implementation of Transfer Pricing strategies;
• Liaise and negotiate with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) on behalf of clients
• Advise and represent clients in KRA audits, supervise such audits, schedule and attend meetings, review information to be submitted to KRA, and draft responses to KRA
• Develop tailor-made tax training focused on practising tax advisors and other stakeholders
• Lead client projects, assignments and develop team members
• Develop tax advisory processes and checklists to standardize service offerings

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce and/ or similar qualification in other related field
Possess 6 years’ experience as a Senior Tax Advisor in a multinational or tax advisory firm
Possess professional qualifications such as CPAK or ACCA
