JOB DETAILS:
Project Officers ICT Systems

(EAP-K/2022/PP/01)

Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager, and working under Component III Coordinator, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Assisting in the development of ICT systems as per user requirements.
• Contributing to the system development cycle including functional specification for developers, service provider management, testing and roll out.
• Preparing ICT documentation including user/training manuals and system configuration manuals.
• Contributing to the setting up, implementation, and stress testing of the business continuity and disaster recovery systems.
• Preparation of reports to the Component Coordinator, including task reports and incident/system uptime reports
• Ensuring ICT Systems and infrastructure uptime.
• Performing system backups and restoration tests.
• Configuring and Maintaining the Network and Internet security.
• Performing Network and security intrusion tests and implement gaps.
• Tracking and maintain records of all ICT assets.
• Providing technical support for all ICT infrastructure and users’ training.
• Performing maintenance/servicing of ICT systems and infrastructure, including cleaning, upgrades/updates and monitoring.
• Assisting in management of ICT systems’ access rights
• Adhering to, sensitise and contribute to the development of the company’s IT security policies, standards and procedures.
• Undertaking other ICT duties as may be assigned.
• Performing any other assignments related to ICT or as maybe assigned including supporting the delivery of other project components.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors in IT or Computer Science or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A certificate or training in software programming/ networking/ ethical hacking/ systems security/ project management/ IT Service management will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications
• At least one (1) year internship or relevant experience
• Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of the Constitution of Kenya
