Overview
Primary Responsibilities:
o Manages all planning inputs: sales orders, dealer forecasts, on-line projects and strategic build plans
o Collaborate with production engineers to ensure optimum productivity and timely completion of orders
o Create and implement integrated systems for carrying out production processes, such as quality and inventory control, human work factors, and cost analysis; logistics and material flow, and production coordination
o Supervise and coordinate engineering process improvement with production
o Support the resolution of issues such as kit deliveries, shortages, material stockouts; internal and external purchase orders and production delays that may influence on-time, in-full delivery
o Cultivate systems that guarantee that production schedules align with Customer requirements
o Maintain target HPU data and establish regular review mechanisms; providing initiatives for continuous production improvement
o Create and deliver production status metrics to help with effective decision-making
o Manages the planning function and the planning interface with customers and internal departments
o Maintains consolidated sales forecasts in the MRP system and prepares Master Production Schedule and a Capacity Plan for the business
o Generates requisitions to buy materials based on Production Schedule, Forecast and MRP System
o Prepares and distributes weekly production schedules / work order dispatch lists
o Monitors daily schedule status and communicates scheduling problems or concerns to Management
o Participates in, or leads in the absence of the Assembly Manager, the daily production meetings on the shop floor
o Assist management to resolve problems with late shipments, material shortages, customer schedule changes, and cancellations of customer orders
o Proposes, gains approval for, and leads implementation of improved planning methods, tools, and reports
o Prepares production reports including analysis of Performance to Plan variances and loss & Waste reports
o Perform any other duty given to you by your superiors
Qualifications and Experience:
o Bachelors degree or equivalent in business administration, supply chain management, or operations management.
o 5 years’ experience in planning and scheduling a manufacturing facility
o Fluency and proficiency in the practical application of MRP logic, scheduling logic, order policies, capacity planning, input/output control, product structures, routings, and standards maintenance.
o Knowledgeable in master scheduling, production planning and detailed scheduling, demand management, purchasing, and cost accounting techniques
o Experience with inventory management.
